On 13 march 2014, the Premier of Victoria announced the results of a Cabinet re-shuffle to take effect on 17 March.  The rumoured changes in recent weeks to the planning portfolio did not happen, with Matthew Guy remaining as Minister for Planning but also gaining Multicultural Affairs and Citizenship.

Other changes of note to the planning and development industry are as follows.

Tim Bull (new Minister) has become Minister for Local Government and Minister for Aboriginal Affairs;

Damian Drum (new Minister) has become Minister for Sport and Recreation (and Minister for Veteran’s Affairs);

Russell Northe (new Minister) has become Minister for Energy and Resources (and Minister for Small Business);

Peter Crisp has become Parliamentary Secretary for Regional Development (assisting Deputy Premier Peter Ryan).
