5 MINUTES WITH ALIX
What do you find most interesting about urban planning?
I’ve always loved solving problems and I think trying to work out how people can live and function together in urban areas is really fascinating.
What is your favourite holiday destination?
Mallacoota in East Gippsland. I love travelling and seeing new places but Mallacoota’s beauty continually blows me away.
What do you love about Melbourne?
The footy. Heading to the MCG on a Friday night typifies a Melbourne winter for me.
If you didn’t live in Melbourne, where would you live?
If language wasn’t a barrier I would live somewhere in Scandinavia. I fell in love with Norway when I was there in 2012. I also really like Danish and Swedish design.
What has been one of your biggest achievements?
In January this year I rode up Mt Buffalo (a 23 km climb!) and in the process raised over $3000 for the Kids Cancer Project.
What is your favourite movie?
The Lord of the Rings trilogy.
Describe yourself in three words.
Organised, diligent and talkative.
