Collie congratulates Van Cleef & Arpels on obtaining a planning permit for its new store in Collins Street, Melbourne.  The store is within the Collins East Precinct which is known as the ‘Paris’ end of Collins Street with a strong presence of luxury international and Australian retail brands.

The store occupies one of the ground and first floor retail tenancies with a Collins Street frontage in the 101 Collins Street building.

Collie worked with Ascot Project Management and Landmark Architects to prepare a planning permit application for advertising signs, works to the ground floor tenancy and façade of the building, minor demolition and the display of temporary hoarding advertising.

Collie was involved in the preparation of the planning permit application and liaised with Melbourne City Council throughout the process, including at a pre-application meeting with Council planning officers which sought to identify any key issues prior to the formal submission.  Although not located in a building of individual heritage significance, the subject site is affected by a Heritage Overlay that applies to the entire Collins East Precinct and any proposal must be sympathetic to the character of the broader heritage precinct.
