_FIRE RESCUE VICTORIA DUE DILLIGENCE
Collie is pleased to have assisted Fire Rescue Victoria recently in providing town planning due diligence advice to inform its potential purchase of a site for the purpose of a new fire station in the northern growth corridor of metropolitan Melbourne.
As part of its role, Collie provided detailed town planning advice on the planning scheme controls covering the land and identified key opportunities and constraints for its future development. As part of the site is within a Public Park and Recreation Zone whereby a fire station is prohibited, Collie recommended rezoning the land to a Public Use Zone in order to exempt the development and use of a fire station from requiring a planning permit.
A graphic of a new fire station recently completed in Derrimut is provided below and Collie hopes to assist FRV in achieving a similar outcome for the site assuming the purchase of the land eventuates.
