_MORACK GOLF COURSE
Collie assisted Engine Room VM in providing town planning advice in relation to the redevelopment of the clubhouse and driving range facility at the Morack Golf Course.
The golf course land is located in the Public Conservation and Resource Zone and the built form component is exempt from a planning permit as the redevelopment is on behalf of Whitehorse City Council. As a result, the $14 million facility is under construction and our initial role on the project involved advising Engine Room VM on other aspects of the development that require planning approval to allow for the operation of the new facility by Swing Factory.
As part of our ongoing role on the project, Collie is in the process of preparing a planning permit application to apply for an on-premises liquor license.
The project (pictured below) is due for completion in late 2023 and will comprise:
- a multipurpose clubhouse with outdoor seating overlooking the golf course and bushland surrounds;
- a 24-bay driving range with ball-tracing technology installed in every bay;
- an architecturally designed 18-hole mini-golf facility;
- a golf pro shop and multi-purpose event spaces.
