_Display Around the Bend

You may recall that Collie recently assisted Stockland in obtaining a planning permit for its proposed ‘Halcyon Horizon’ residential village on Horseshoe Bend Road in Armstrong that will include 234 residential dwellings and a clubhouse precinct.

Since the issuing of this permit by Greater Geelong City Council (Council) late last year, Collie has also provided town planning services in relation to the preparation and submission of a planning permit application for a display village centre and signage, associated with the sale of dwellings at the village.  We note that development of the administration / community building (as distinct from the main clubhouse precinct), which will serve as the display village centre, was approved under the original permit.

Collie assisted in discussions with Council regarding the extent of signage originally proposed along the Horseshoe Bend Road interface and provided advice to Stockland on possible solutions to mitigate these concerns.  Revised plans were issued to Council and a permit was granted and the plans endorsed.

Development of the village has commenced and Collie is looking forward to watching it progress further.
