_RESIDENTIAL SUBDIVISION : DUE DILLIGENCE

Collie was approached by Stockland to provide due diligence town planning advice to inform the potential purchase of land in the Hume growth corridor for the purposes of expanding its residential masterplanned community in Highlands, Craigieburn.

As part of our investigations, Collie reviewed the request for further information (RFI) from Hume City Council (Council) obtained by the previous landowner, advised on planning opportunities and risks and worked with the project team to improve the subdivision layout.

Since the land was more recently purchased, we have assisted Stockland in coordinating a town planning response to the Council RFI.  Furthermore, we understand that a Cultural Heritage Management Plan has recently been approved and we expect that a planning permit will be issued for the staged subdivision within the next month.

The subdivision once approved, will comprise 328 lots with notable features of the project including a linear public open space link running through the middle of the site that is to be substantially fronted by medium density housing and a future local town centre.

We look forward to the completion of this project and its contribution to the Highlands community.
