_ANOTHER MILESTONE REACHED FOR CURLEWIS
Collie has been providing town planning services to Stockland including as part of the rezoning process for its landholding in Curlewis in the Jetty Road Urban Growth Area.
Submissions on Planning Scheme Amendment C387 were heard at recent Panel Hearing and the panel report has now been released.
Collie has had a key role on the project and was instrumental in recommending changes to the schedule to the Development Plan Overlay to ensure that the ‘land lease community’ (residential village) was strategically identified for the site as well as advising on how key interface issues such as to the District Park (also to be delivered by Stockland) could be addressed.

We are pleased to advise that the panel report was supportive of the residential village being delivered on the site with the next step being for the Amendment to be adopted by the City of Greater Geelong before proceeding to the Minister for Planning for approval.
The project is a collaboration between Breathe and DC8 Studio Architects and will comprise approximately 470 dwellings once complete.
We look forward to continuing our role on this exciting new project, which has been earmarked by Stockland to achieve a high standard in environmentally sustainable design.
