_COLES TRARALGON VILLAGE GRAND OPENING

Collie was pleased to be invited to the grand opening of Coles Traralgon Village.

The opening day was well attended with the 200 plus car spaces in the centre car park almost all occupied.

In addition to acknowledging the efforts of the project team, the purpose of the grand opening was to congratulate the Coles supermarket and Liquorland teams for their efforts over recent months to get the stores ready for opening as well as to recognize Coles’ ongoing partnerships with SecondBite. 

Upon the cutting of the ribbon, it was pleasing to see customers flowing through the supermarket entry.

Some impressive features of the project are the new look modern façade of the supermarket building and the number of covered car spaces that were popular amongst shoppers. Also of interest is the number of solar panels on the roof totaling 565 panels ensuring that approximately 24.4% of the supermarkets energy needs will be met by renewable electricity.  

In addition to the supermarket, several specialty retail stores and a childcare centre are expected to open imminently to service the local community. 

Collie was pleased to have assisted Coles in providing town planning services for the project.
