_POST PERMIT CHANGES FOR TOWNHOUSES
Collie assisted the client with making modifications to the design of to two townhouses post issue of the planning permit.
A redesign of one of the dwellings by the client resulted in an increase in the building footprint which meant that in order to obtain approval for this change, it was necessary to seek an amendment to the planning permit and allow Bayside City Council to advertise the application.
As part of our role, we advised on additional changes to the landscaping to help ‘soften’ the appearance of the built form from the street as well as responded to an objection received from an adjoining neighbour.
Following further negotiation between Collie and Council, we are pleased to advise that Council is supportive of the design changes and has proceeded to issue an amended planning permit.
