_7-Eleven Coming to Orana Town Centre

You may recall that Collie previously assisted Coles in obtaining planning approvals for the development of a Local Town Centre within the Orana masterplanned community in Clyde, which included:

• A full-line Coles supermarket comprising a floor area of 3,582 square metres.
• A number of retail specialty stores, food and drink and commercial premises including a Liquorland, gym, veterinary clinic and medical centre. 
• A separate ‘click and collect’ area.
• A large (500 square metres) town square that is to be well landscaped and is to comprise designated seating zones that will provide convenient pedestrian access through the activity centre.
• A standalone childcare centre to comprise 125 childcare places. 
• Several pad sites for future residential and commercial development. 
• A number of car parking spaces including covered car spaces and electric vehicle charging stations. 

More recently, Collie was pleased to assist Coles in obtaining planning approval for the development of a 7-Eleven ‘service station’ on one of the commercial pad sites within the Centre. 

Collie worked closely with the project team on advising changes to the design that would maximise the development potential of the site while ensuring that it responded to some of the initial concerns raised by Casey City Council regarding its integration within the broader Town Centre context.  Collie looks forward to the project completion, noting that the Orana Town Centre is set to open later this year.
