_Expansion at Rosalia Approved

Further to the recent news that the amended Gisborne Area 1 Development Plan (GA1DP) at Ross Watt Road in Gisborne was approved in response to VCAT orders, the planning permit for the subdivision of ‘Permit Area 2’ has also been approved. 

The approved subdivision comprises:

  • 382 lots with a mix of conventional and medium densities;
  • a future local convenience centre and childcare centre site;
  • areas of open space in the form of several local parks, tree reserves and a large conservation reserve along the Jacksons Creek escarpment;
  • a drainage reserve.

Collie assisted ID Land with preparing and submitting the planning permit application to Macedon Ranges Shire Council (MRSC).  An appeal to VCAT was made and subsequent rounds of VCAT orders and hearings were held with ID Land, MRSC and relevant referral authorities, before a decision to approve the subdivision was made.  During the VCAT appeal process, Collie continued to provide town planning advice as required in response to VCAT orders.
