_Orana Village nearing completion
Collie assisted Coles in obtaining planning approval for the development of a Local Town Centre within the Orana masterplanned community in Clyde. Collie has continued to provide Coles with further approvals applications at the site, including a permit for the development of a 7-Eleven service station on one of the pad sites and post-permit conditions satisfaction assistance.
The permit was issued in October 2024 and as you can see in attached photographs from a recent site tour, the development is nearing completion. The buildings are almost fully constructed, with the internal fit-outs now underway, while external carparking and landscaping works are expected to start shortly.

The Orana Village development has been used as a test pilot for a number of new Coles energy and development efficiency schemes, including being the first Coles supermarket to adopt a battery powered back-up generator in place of the standard diesel powered generators. This initiative, in addition to the 300kw solar PV system installed on the roof of the building, works to maintain the Coles goal of cutting emissions and being powered by 100 per cent renewable electricity.
In addition to the full-line Coles supermarket and 7-Eleven service station, the town centre will feature:
- 26 retail specialty stores, food and drink and commercial premises, including a Liquorland, Anytime Fitness gym, medical centre and veterinary clinic;
- a 500 square metres town square that is to be well landscaped and is to comprise designated seating zones and convenient pedestrian access into the activity centre;
- a stand-alone childcare centre for 125 childcare places;
- a McDonalds restaurant;
- car parking including covered car spaces and electric vehicle charging stations, as well as a ‘click and collect’ facility.
Collie looks forward to the project completion and opening of Orana Village this September.
