_Connecting Fishermans Bend Integrated Transport Plan, September 2025

Amendment GC296 was gazetted on 18 August 2026.  It gives effect to the Connecting Fishermans Bend Integrated Transport Plan, September 2025 through amendments to the Melbourne and Port Phillip Planning Schemes.  

The 2025 Plan and GC296 deal with a number of inter-related transport proposals for Fishermans Bend, to be delivered in three tranches over coming years, including a revised proposed tram route and bridge infrastructure, a potential future underground rail alignment and potential future underground stations. The amendment applies to land within Fishermans Bend as shown in the Figure 1 extract below from the GC296 Explanatory Report page 2.
