5 MINUTES WITH JACK

What do you find most interesting about urban planning?

I find it fascinating how the multiple aspects of urban life such as transport, housing and employment are all interrelated and how we can improve the relationships between them.

What do you love about Melbourne?

Despite going for Carlton, I really enjoy going to the footy.  I also like the amount of food, drink and entertainment options there are to enjoy across the city.

What is one of your biggest achievements?

I completed a half marathon as part of the ‘The Age – Run Melbourne’.  One day I might consider trying a full marathon.

What is your favourite holiday destination?

I really loved Vietnam, there’s so much to see and do and it’s very eye opening in terms of the cultural differences from Australia.  In terms of a more local destination, I grew up in Ocean Grove and still quite enjoy heading back there.

What is your favourite movie?

The Departed.

If you could go back in history, what era would you like to live in?

Probably the 1970’s.  I had a pretty decent afro going in high school so I think I would have fitted in nicely.
