_Knoxfield
The disused DELWP horticultural station land on the corner of Burwood Highway and Scoresby Road, Knoxfield, was declared by the Victorian Government as surplus to requirements.
The intention was to sell the land and Development Victoria was identified as the preferred purchaser.
Collie was appointed by Development Victoria to prepare all documents to satisfy a Government Land Service amendment of the land.
Collie managed the strategic process including preparation of amendment documents and liaising closely with Development Victoria, Knox City Council, DELWP (Planning) and other stakeholders.
The amendment involved an innovative approach to zoning using a comprehensive development zone incorporation of the Small Lot Housing Code and the preparation of a comprehensive development plan.
Following consideration by an advisory committee and a typical ‘panel’ process, the amendment was approved thus rezoning the land to enable its development for residential and mixed uses.
