Not a large project by any means but Collie provided town planning assistance to ID_Land in relation to a recent VicSmart application for the lopping of a tree in a Heritage Overlay (HO) that related only to the specific tree. The tree, a heritage listed oak, is situated at the Dohertys Road and Woods Road intersection in Truganina, in an area of land set aside as part of the future rail corridor under the Truganina Precinct Structure Plan (TPSP).
As part of the works for the construction of the intersection, it was necessary to lop part of the oak tree. As tree controls applied to the site under the relevant schedule to the HO, a planning permit was required and the proposal met the requirements of a VicSmart application.
