_Childcare Centre

Collie assisted the client in obtaining a town planning permit for a child care centre in Craigieburn.  The childcare centre will be located on the northwest corner of Marathon Boulevard and Highlander Drive, approximately 1.5 kilometres from the Craigieburn Town Centre (to the northwest) and will service the growing number of families in Craigieburn.

The centre will comprise a reception area and foyer, seven child care rooms, sleep rooms as well as two large outdoor play areas.  Once complete, the centre will accommodate up to 124 child care places and 24 full time staff.   

Collie provided town planning input in the design phase of the project and advised on the supporting information necessary to submit with the town planning application.  Following attendance at a pre-application meeting, Collie prepared a detailed town planning report in support of the proposal and liaised with Hume City Council throughout the application process, which resulted in the issue of the planning permit.
