_Glenlee, Armstrong Creek

Collie assisted the client in obtaining town planning approval for the subdivision of land known as ‘Glenlee’ and located in the Armstrong Creek Urban Growth Area – approximately 6 kilometres to the south of the Geelong CBD.

The approved subdivision comprises over 350 lots with a mix of conventional and medium densities.  The subdivision will deliver a (1.9 hectares) district park that retains significant vegetation and its location centrally within the subdivision, provides for a real hub for the community.  Another feature of the project is the provision of a number of small lots around the park many of which have a direct frontage, which will provide increased activity and encourage passive surveillance of this community focal point.

In addition to preparing and submitting the town planning permit application, the Collie role included reviewing the subdivision plan and advising on changes to the design to provide an improved planning outcome and working with the project team in responding to a request for further information from the City of Greater Geelong.

Collie looks forward to the development of Glenlee.
